The California Department of 老化 administers nutrition services funded by the federal Older Americans Act and State general fund dollars through a network of 33 Area Agencies on 老化 and their service providers.

The 高级营养 Program:

• Provides daily noon meals, social activities and information clearinghouse services in a congregate setting for senior citizens aged 60 and over.

• Cooks and coordinates the delivery of meals to eligible homebound seniors aged 60 and over.
• Acts as liaison, as needed, to direct seniors to other emergency services/providers.

Nutrition services for eligible seniors will not be denied for failure to make donations. 高级营养 is a California Department of 老化 (CDA) program.

Lunchtime meals are available for anyone 60 years and older at several sites located throughout Kern County.

• 24-Hour prior reservations may be required.
• A donation is requested.
• Some sites provide free or low-cost transportation to and from the site.
